Vampire Encounters in New York

I thought of doing research on vampires ever since a strange incident I had back in 1991. I believe that I met a real vampire, not a psychic. When I first saw this guy, the word “vampire” screamed in my head. It was weird, and I thought it was my imagination.

The next couple of days, I thought of the scream that I “heard” inside my head and wanted to use a mirror to see if he had a reflection. Apparently, he read my mind, and saw that I didn’t pose a threat. We spent a few weeks just basically talking, and he was trying to hint at me about what he was, but I was too afraid to come out and just ask him. He told me about being alive over 400 years ago, not being able to go into the sunlight, etc. He basically told me that he was a vampire without using the word vampire itself.

One day, after knowing him for about a month, I go home and the next day, I woke up with a funny type of memory loss. I remembered everything clearly for the last two weeks, except that the memories about him were almost like a blur. It was like trying to remember something from ten years ago, or trying to remember a dream. As the day went on, my memories of him became clearer and I regained full memory as the day wore on. When I went back to where I was spending time with him, he was gone. I believe that he had hypnotized me to forget about him. It was kinda weird how I’m going to remember everything of the day before except for him. It’s a also a possibility that I was able to retain the memories because I had a strong mind. Who knows?

There were three real vampire encounters here in New York that were documented by authorities. The first one was released to the public, it happened around late 70’s or early 80’s and the second one was classified and sent to the Feds to be investigated. The third one was also partially released to the public.

The first one goes like this: A guy gets hit by an ambulance and thrown like 30 to 40 feet in a crowded intersection. There was an ambulance already there at the intersection waiting for the light. All they had to do was open the door and put the guy in the ambulance. They get him to the hospital where he refused all treatment, including blood work and X-rays. He wanted to leave, but he was surrounded by hospital staff and other patients in the ER. He even refused to give his name. They put him in a private room with a nurse outside. He refused all food and water as well.

An elderly couple come to visit him carrying very heavy army duffle bags, they leave later without the duffle bags. An ER tech comes to pick up patient for X-rays, he goes with the X-rays, tech, nurse goes into the room to find out what they brought into the duffle bags to him. She goes into the bathroom and finds a bunch of blood donation bags on the floor, mostly empty, she turns around and runs out of the room, the wheelchair is there with the orderly sitting in it, with fang holes on his neck. She screams and armed security guard comes running (this was the secure floor). He flashes fangs at guard, and the guard shoots. The bullets did absolutely nothing to him. He then jumps out of the window, which was like 15 - 20 stories above the ground and actually runs off like nothing ever happened to him.

This was documented on Beyond Belief, Fact or Fiction as a true story. The nurse took an early retirement.

  2. Hi Marisol,
what did the vampire you met look like? how old (physically) do you think he was? where did you meet him and what did you talk about? Yes, I know I am insanely curious, if you don't mind I will be asking more questions ;)

  3. Hi,
He had short dark hair, and dark eyes, looked kinda European. Based on subsequent artistic representations that I've seen, I would say that he looked kinda Roman. It creeped me out so bad, that I've actually thought of undergoing hypnotism to remember full details and even for outside verification of what happened, but I don't to just come out and say why I want to be hypnotized. I met him where he was working at the time. PS: I forgot to mention that this one time before we started talking we were riding the elevator and he was standing behind me, we were heading towards a floor that was a little lively. Well, it surprised me when the elevator doors open and you could have hears a pin drop, ALL noise stopped. I froze and peeked out of the elevator and people were frozen in time, then he comes up behind me and says: "I am eternal", walks out of the elevator and people unfreeze and start talking, breathing, and moving again. No joke!!.

Sorry, it was so long ago but I think that he kinda looked like late 20’s, possibly early 30’s.

    2. Don't tell people where you met this man unless you want him dead, because just as there are vampires there are also hunters.

  4. Fasinating story, you mentioned three documented cases, plase could you tell me where i could find the information on these.
I truely believe the person you met was a true vampire. What sort of things did you talk about with him, do you remember? as i am deeply curious.

  5. The one about the nurse I read about in a book over 10 years ago and just filed it in my mind, until I saw it as one of the segments on the tv show "fact or fiction: beyond belief". If you don't know what that is, it's was a tv show that aired about late 90's early 2000's. It ran for 1 hour and would show four recreations, and then leave you in suspense until the end of the show, when they would tell you which ones were real, and which ones were works of fiction. Well, I watched it with my ex, and when that segment came on, I told you it was real, and he said BS. Well I told him to just wait for the end of the show to find out for real. well, he almost crapped pants, which it was "fact". The actual ckity that it happened in was never released to the public. I think it aired on the 1st season.

There was another one, which happened in NYC itself. This one was classified by the NYPD and sent to the feds. So, I don't want to go into much detail about this one except say that there were approx 5+ fatalities associated with this attack. Two neighboring familities were targeted. There was evidence that this was a vampie attack, such as holes on the sides of the necks and bodies drained completely of blood and no blood evidence anywhere in the houses, so they never found any speck of blood to save for future analysis. For this one, I'm never going to say which neighborhood it happened in.

The third one, I believe was pulled by the media sources. I read about it in a newspaper back in 1987 soon after I came out of the military. I was bored and pick up a newspaper and was reading it all the way through, page by page,, that's how bored I was. I think it was a weekend. I saw a tiny article buried near the back of the paper, probably right before the sports section, or close enough to it. It mentioned a halloween party thrown by an upscale couple somewher upstate. Again, the town was never released and believe me that I tried going online to look this up. Well, in this one, this guy shows up the this upscale party. It was thrown by rich people, for other rich people. When this unvited guy shows up, nobody asked him who he was or who invited him. They thought that he naturally belonged because of the way he carried himself. He basically carried himself like European royalty or European aristocratic upper crust. The three most beautiful girls in the party were attracted/drawn to him and spent the rest of the time together at the party and actually left together. The next day all three girls were found dead, on the side of a road. They were laying side by side with holes and the sides of the their necks and their bodies were completely drained of blood. PS: I'm seriously thinking of doing a study of vampire mythology from an anthropological viewpoint for grad school in about 1.5 years or 2 years.

  6. PS: I'm not a believe, per se, but I have an open inquisitive, and scientific mind. I'm the type of the person to say: "show me evidence, dna analysis, C14 dating, etc. I'm like the scientist, who had a highly possible vampire sighting, and who is willing to do scientific analysis to either prove or disprove., Thanks.

  9. Hi,
According to the official story, there was armed hospital security stationed near the elevator. I live in NYC and the only time you get that is if the hospital has a "secure" floor, which is where they hold prisoners receiving medical care, or VIP's sometimes, or just "special" cases. The fact that there was armed hospital staff, means that they were worried about this guy, worried for him, or he needed 24-hour care and/or supervision. In fact I believe that they stated that they wanted him to be watched at all times because they thought that he was in shock, because he was not showing the pain they believe he should have shown after being hit and thrown 30-40 feet by the car. Secondly, They also thought that if he was in shock, he could start coding at any time, and he needed 24-hour supervision to be able to resuscitate him in case he sarted to code. From what I saw when it aired, it looked exactly like what I read in the original story. At least that segment was right on the money. I remember it from when I first read about it back in the early 90's. Apparently it happened back in late 70's, early 80's. Where did you get the idea that the TV Show was make believe. Did someone tell you that or do you know of one of the stories in particular in which they made a mistake in tabeling the segment between fact or fiction. As far as I'm concerned since they correctly labeled this vampire encounter as a fact, and even went as far as stating that the police never released which town it occurred in, means to be that they did their research thoroughly.

i knew him for about a period of 2 months. We spoke of his past. He told of his first hand accounts of Europe, from the medievel period and crusades, and the search for religious artifiacts during the crusades period. I don't remember specifics since it was 18 years ago. I don't know why he chose me to open up to. it wasn't like if we were romantically involved. Some of my friends tell me that I'm easy to talk to, that they sometime feel that they could come to me and open up with their problems. Maybe he felt that he needed to open up and thought that he could trust me. That's probably why I felt no fear with him. On a side note: In the past whenever I was in danger, I have felt it. That's how I was able to survive overseas while stationed in a semi-hostile area in the military. By the way, he was never hostile to me in any way, shape or form. I felt completely at ease and safe when near him. I never searched for him because he did try to hypnotize me once to cause me to forget. The hypnosis did not take, and I don't know what will happen if he ever found out that the hypnosis did not take. For hypnosis to take root, you have to have a 'susceptible" mind. I'm looking at the possiblity that my mind protected me from hypnosis because I have an iq in the 150-160's range, and I have a photographic memory. I even thought of the possiblity that he never attacked me because he felt friendship for me or possibly gratitude that I listened and did not fear or reject him. Another possibility is that he never attacked or turned me because he did not want me to miss out on getting married, having a normal life and having kids, since I was only 24 at the time.

    1. none of those ideas is why he didnt attack you the vampires are not allowed to attack people they are given those whose lives will amount to nothing and those usually are people deeply troubled or people who live for nothing but themselves. the hyonotizing didnt take because it usually never does even the aliens hypnotizing their victims doesnt last forever and why would he care if you remember? heck in our society no one will believe you anyway. His hypnotizing did take and served its purpose cause he is gone and you dont know what happened. Much to learn about this world and its true reality. However most run from doing just that, One who really knows.

Who is this howkloosh clown? Replying to every comment three years later with a bunch of random, cryptic crap? Seriously? What happened, the eyeliner and $30 you spent at Hot Topic not convince the kids at school? Look, no one thinks you are a vampire. Honestly, a vampire, living countless lifetimes, would surely have a greater grasp on the concepts of punctuation and basic grammar. I mean, maybe you were turned at 6 or 7 years old, at which case your brain ceased to develop any further. But, somehow I just can't see a baby-vampire being this desperate for attention on the internet.

She recounted a strange story to me. One night as she was making her rounds to draw blood from patients, she entered a room with her cart full of fresh drawn blood vials.when out of the bed jumped the patient scrambling for her cart full of blood. He was lightning fast and strong she said. Almost manic with desire to grab the vials of blood. She left the vials and fled the room. She told her Manager & they found the room with security and empty vials but no patient. She said the room was a mess when they found it. Her cart overturned and broken vials eveeywhere. She quit that job!

  11. If someone confides in you something personal, is it within your rights to be able to expose it? What makes it more surprising is that it is not even to one person but the internet. I have my ways, my secrets, things I've seen, and I would hope that if I told anyone anything about myself that they would have the decency to keep it solely to themselves. If anything became public, for example on the internet, I would hope it would be from me, not through anyone else. I see it as a betrayal of trust. Yes, it is good to learn, to pass on your knowledge, but personal information is different.
Even a 'smart' mind can be incredibly weak. Hypnosis is persuasion, and if you're hard headed and too closed up it does not work as well. You say you have a high IQ, photographic memory, and the belief of having a strong mind, this simple unconscious belief most likely did not allow your mind to open up to the ideas and persuasion hypnosis offers. Manipulation of the mind is fun, childish, but amusing nonetheless. I get bored.

  14. Isn't learning, knowledge and growth, as well as the sharing of non-personal information what this website is all about? I'm here to learn more of what happened to me. Obvisouly you have a problem with expressing of one's mind. I looked back at my posts and I certainly did not do absolutely anything abusive or wrong. ps: hypnosos not working has nothing to do with being hard-headed or close--minded. It is a scientifically known fact that stronger minds, are more immune to hypnosis than the minds of other people. I posted my story for feedback, on what it could have been and if other people underwent a similar experience.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I have given feedback. What you have told us, is also relaying what someone privately told you. I have known people that have not kept private information. It is not pleasant.
I have no problem with people expressing their mind, as I express back my own thoughts.
Yes, because stronger minds are more hard headed and less susceptible to persuasion. Those who are soft and malleable, as they are easier to persuade, are weaker in their mind set.

  17. I just finished watching the Beyond Belief:Fact or Fiction episode about the vampire story that Marisol is referring to. When they stated the story was a fact I was shocked, as that was the one story that I believed was fiction.

According to what was just shown, there was an armed security station by the elevator on the floor and the "Vampire" did in fact pick up and throw the police officer against a wall (rendering him unconscious) with no trouble. The show also stated that the "Vampire" did injure another hospital employee by biting him in the throat, but they didn't say if he died or not. Also, after the "Vampire" threw the police officer against the wall he jumped through a closed glass window from the 6th floor and he was never found. There was no mention of the police officer shooting the "Vampire".

Also, when the nurse checked in the "Vampire's" bathroom to see why the old man had been in there, she found dozens of discarded, empty blood plasma bags. This story has sure got me thinking that things may be quite different than what I've always believed. The show also stated that these events happened at an east coast hospital, but they didn't say where specifically on the east coast. Because it is being discussed here, can I assume that this happened in New York state?

Can anyone here direct me to an online resource for this particular story? I'd really appreciate the help.

  19. Hi guys,
It's been a long time since I've seen the video. I'm going to try to get a copy of it. I found out that it happened in New York after reading a book about real vampire cases probably like in the early 90's. The fact that it happened in New York probably caused me to remember this case more than the others. I also read that it happened in New York, but the City that it happened it was never released. I never heard of a video which claimed that this story never happened. In fact the "beyond belief: fact of fiction" had it as a real story. Other things that were in the story and not in the video was something about the nurse either retiring or leaving her job. It would be kinda cool to be able to post links to videos here. This way we could avoid confusion.

  20. i feel i may have had an encounter with a vampire. not sure. home at night by myself with new baby my husband was out with friends for the evening it was about 1 am and i woke up for really no reason im aware of, and walked directly to my kitchen where our patio door was. i had a pushing feeling to go towards the door and pull the curtain aside, again,i stress, it felt like i was being pushed to do everything i was doing when i pushed the curtain aside there was a woman standing there looking right in my eyes. hers were large black and round she was extremely pale and had long scraggly brown hair she may have been native descent not sure. i felt like she was mentally communicating with me wanting me to open the door she would look at the dead bolt then to me never opening her mouth to speak it seemed to go on for ever. then i felt myself disconnect from her gaze and i ran to my babys room check on him then called the police she was apparently gone when they arrived. for the time of year it was she was very underdressed and definatley not well manicured just completely scarry i couldnt stop shaking after the encounter and i never thought vampire till very recently. but if they are out there she would qualify

  23. Ummm ok 1st of all I live in New York City...I admit the " vampire counter-culture " was at its peak around the time you claim your incident happened, however we also have some of the finest and lax in security mental institutions in the world, I believe your so called memory loss has more to do with the ingestion of fermented yeast-based beverages than anything else. Every wanna-be goth and pre-emo kid claimed to be a " vampire " back then which, of course, as we all know has led to the explosion in the " hot topic " chain of stores and also accounts for the popularity of Depeche Mode. My guess is he saw a gullible and impressionable person and used it to " have his fun " in other words he was more interested in giving rather than receiving certain bodily fluids...also if he had hypnotized you to forget about him how could you possibly be recounting this to begin with?

  26. I was not into vampire culture in the least, and I was definitely not drinking "beer". I was a disabled veteran who was at the time working full time and pulling 16 credits. Also I was not an impressionable young person. I had been previously involved in overseas military stuff that was never released to the public . As you can see, with my background it was very hard for me to accept the supernatural. This was Also hard to understand because I am and have always been a very level headed person. I had to come to terms with what happened and try to come up with possible reasons for what looked like hypnosis. I even tried getting myself hypnotized and it couldn't be done because I was told I was too mentally strong. Then I had to make a list of possible reasons why I had a memory loss and afterwards remembered: this what I'm working with: photograhic memory, iq range: 165, absolutely no possibility that I was drugged by sethimg I ate or drank, no drugs / alcohol. So now I'm left with an enigma: "spiritual/psychical" warning, time lapse where people froze in time for a few seconds, selective memory loss w/o any known reason for such memory loss and a rapid regaining of such memory possible due to mental acuity/high iq.

Any decent person can tell there is no real publicity to gain in a post like this. This is but a individual sharing a event in life. True or False this is Marisol's truth. I find this to be a lot more believable than most.

North chicago, il 60064.....the weird thing is...him and I didnt regain memory of until 2 years later, when we were camping(boy scouts), I started to tell a scary story that i said mite of happend, somewhere, sometime, to someone and i wasnt sure, but i went on and told the story as it came to me, of course some made it a joke....but others didnt. Shortly after, my brother(2yrs older than me) calls over behind his tent And grabs my arm firmly and looked cold into my eyes and ask Me where the hell did see that?..... i told Him it just recently started comming to me, why? Because!..it started happening to me too. I THINK SOMETHING HAPPEND TO US. So when we got back home we brainstormed trying to recall everything...and what ever happened....happened to the both of us, at the same time and Place...we regained full memory of what occurd, and we didnt tell anyone about it because of what People would think of us. Then we saw the movie "the mothman prophecy" and our jaws Dropped...the transition from creature to to a tall shadow figure of a man.... was the same exact thing my brother and i saw.... in our own home.

  40. if vampires are real, they would not be like those in tv shows or movies you have watched. You don't want them to exist if you ever encounter one. I somewhat believe in it, but the descriptions given is inappropriate for me.

Source: I have encountered many extraordinary things in my life.

  41. I am writing all this before I forget.  I had a dream last night that I had lived another life.  In this dream I died and another soul was there.  I turned to them and asked what killed me this time? Mt. Vesuveus or mt st helens?  They replied not sure.  I bragged that I have died in every major eruption so far in history.  I can even tell you that the eruption I died in I lived with my dad. I became a book keeper at a library.  The eruption started and we tried to escape.  Water turned red like blood and came out of all the pipes and such. A bubble appeared on the side of the mountain four feet high,  then rose. The mountain collapsed right underneath us. A big hole opened up and swallowed us and I died. After dying but before going where ever I saw glimpses of former lives. In one glimpse I saw pompeii after the eruption.  After I died I tried to go back to my home in pompeii but all I saw were ashes, and half burned stone buildings. Everything wasndark and smoldering flame clung to the remnants of the homes.I need help. I have memories of past lives. I used to  even be an  myan preistess who was sacrificed.  I also recently had memories of being a Jewish spy during ww2 and being separated from someone named liesel and needing to find them. I rem dying then too.I have other issues.I have weird teeth, weird fingerprints, weird abilities,  and the list goes on.I dont age like everyone else.I cannot go into the sunlight for long.I even have had nighmares of serving vlad and worshipping him and having weird powers.I dont want to go in more detail here.Need help. If anyone can help please leave a message and we can talk further. Thanks to all

    1. i can help you if you are willing to speak openly. No incomplete renditions of things but detail and why do you need help? what is it that makes you think you need help? just because you have memories of other life manifestations? I've seen all my former so called lives. I need no help.

    2. I am willing to speak openly but only anonymously. Please give me what ever assistance you can. I have no idea how you become a vampire or if you are awakened and either way what are the symptoms. What are the signs? I now know so much more. All my past lives are connected. I dare say I lived centuries with no death. I lived before and after becoming a vampire in the past. I rem so little that I do not know ehat I am dealing with. What to feel or do, what happens. Is their a vampire history? I am not here to make fun. I desperately need help. I am open to discussing anything and everything here on this forum.

E.g. see Goa'Uld (Stargate) or Romulans/Vulcans (Startrek) or Smurfs (Smurfs)..

  45. Me again... its true. I died and came back. I have lived before, many lives, in king louis court, in pompeii, in 1880s america, in ww2 germany, in 1980s in the us, both in new york and mt. St. Helens. I am now showing weird symptoms. Weird rashes, weird nose bleeds, headaches, strange growth spurts, weird vibrant dreams of past lives, exhaustion, sensitivity to sunlight. I am not making fun. I need help. I want to know whats wrong with me. Are vampires real? If so, how do u become one? What are the symptoms? I need help because this is freaking me out.

    1. Just a stranger...
I can explain it, she's inconsistent because she is lying. I love the idea of her "photographic memory." Clearly, her memory is far from photographic. She starts by saying she knew him for one month, then later it becomes two. She has an IQ somewhere around 150-160's, then later it is just 165. You notice a trend here? If her stories can grow this much within a period of 3 days, what do you think 10 years has done to it? Some other examples of her less-than-perfect memory: the duffle bags were being carried into the room and guests left without them (the opposite is true; they weren't seen being carried in, but were actually noticed being carried out), the armed guard shot the patient for "flashing his fangs" (no such thing occurred, can you honestly see a guard shooting an unarmed hospital patient for smiling at him?), the man jumped out of a floor 15-20 stories high (it was 6 stories high). Theories place this patient, not as a vampire, but as a thief. It is believed that he and his "guests" were stealing blood from the hospital. One pint of blood sells for around $340 on the black market (known as the "red market").
If the question is "are you a liar?" Then it doesn't help your cause when you claim that you have an IQ possessed by only 25 out of every 1,000,000 people! (The fact that you think that this is somehow supportive evidence makes it apparent that you're even farther from being a genius than you are from having a photographic memory!)

  48. people are compelled to forget vampires because the mind has trouble letting go of these impossibilities and it can drive a person mad.

  49. People are not just compelled to forget vampires, but anything that they can not comprehend. People generally are very self absorbed and can not or will not accept things that are outside their realm of reality. We as a species can't accept being anything other than the top of the food chain.

  50. Hello. Could you tell me a little more about the occurrence in Upstate New York? I'm very curious as to what year this happened in and what town if possible and what county.
    Thank you

  51. I feel like this could be real. Some of the stuff in the story makes sense and some doesn't. The only people who would really know if it was real were the people who were there. I kinda want to interview all of them and see if any of their stories change. But I do somewhat think it actually happened.

  52. I have blury vision of a man who I had no idea about since I was at the island till I left to come here in America.. Its like I dreamed about places I never been before but it felt like I belong there. I never got the full image of him but I feel like I known him before. Believe me or not. On my time (sex) people said you'll bleed but I didn't which is weird. And my boyfriend at that time think I lied to him about being my first.. Everyday and night there's I have a odd feeling like someone's watching me.. I just wish I know what his face really looked liked cuz its been bothering me for years..

  53. there are real vampires in reno, nv.

  54. While I do not believe in the existence of real supernatural vampires. I believe the so-called vampire incident featured in the beyond belief episode might be true. The simple explanation might be that the strange patient was demon possessed. When a person is possessed by a demon that person is no longer a ordinary human being, but a person with very not human like characteristics, like having tremendous strength, strange body movements and speed, immune to pain and physical suffering, go long periods with no food or water, but can take other things into their bodies, like blood, eat insects or even drink their own urine. Remember the real life cases of the possessed family in Indiana where one of the children was witnessed by a nurse and social worker climbing the wall horizontally or the Miami zombie attacking and eating the flesh of a homeless person, so before we jump to the false conclusions of vampires. Let's at least consider the possibility of these real supernatural monsters that are demons !
